The parish council’s Service to the Community Awards were launched in 2010, with the first awards presented in 2011, to celebrate the people who make a difference to the Cheddar community. Over the years, clubs, groups and hard-working volunteers have all been recognised.
The search for award-recipients runs from February to March, when nomination forms for that year’s competition are available. Nominations are considered by full Council in March with awards presented at the Annual Parish meeting in April.
