Somerset Council launched on 1st April 2023. It is the new unitary council which brings together the services provided by the four district councils in Somerset (Mendip, Sedgemoor, Somerset West and Taunton and South Somerset) alongside the services provided by Somerset County Council.
The new council works alongside the existing city, town and parish councils and their role is enhanced through new Local Community Networks.
Everything that you could previously do on the District and County websites, you can do now on the new Somerset Council website.
