Hannah More Cottage, Lower North Street:
Hannah More Cottage is where Hannah More created her first school, which was established in late 1700s, and is Grade 2 listed. The hall is for hire and is conveniently located in the centre of the village. The facilities include a main hall and committee room, kitchen, toilet (with disabled facilities) and garden. Ideal venue for business meetings, clubs, group activities, private functions etc. In popular demand for use by yoga groups, choirs, senior citizen meetings and many other community groups. Maximum capacity of 50 (30 seated).
Limited parking directly outside, but street parking available all around. The nearest public car parks are in Church Street or Cliff Street, both about 7 minutes’ walk, and these are free to use after 6pm.
Economical hire rates:
£32.00 / half day (for one-off use), £26.50 / half day (regular users), or £10.00 / hr
