Cheddar Chamber of Commerce have teamed up with the Parish Council and are intending to run Festive Cheddar in the usual format. However, the Police and the Somerset Traffic Events management officer, as part of the road closure, have requested that Stewards are needed in order for the event to be given permission to be held.
At least 20 volunteer Stewards are needed on the evening of 6th December 2024 from around 5.00 p.m. until 9.30 p.m. Stewards will also need to undertake training in preparation for the event, this will include crowd control, vehicle control, lost children and anti-terrorism and will take a further evening and can be done over Teams and online.
Anyone over the age of 18 who can commit to the date are invited to get in touch. Please do not offer you services unless you are available on the 6th and can commit to completing the training required. A reasonable level of fitness will be needed as the evening requires a lot of walking.
