Cheddar Parish Council is pleased to announce the launch of this years Community Awards. The award is given in recognition of special service to the Parish of Cheddar. Since their creation in 2010 over 40 Community Awards have been received by individuals or community groups for their service. We need your help. By nominating your local heroes, you highlight those deserving of recognition and thanks.
To nominate an individual or group for an award, please read the Notes to Nominators (DOCX Download 35KB) before completing the nomination form.
Before submitting your nomination, please also ask the permission of the individual or group you would like to nominate. For various reasons, some people may prefer not to receive recognition for their community work, and the parish council respects these preferences. Additionally, as we require the name and contact details for nominees, it is vital that their permission is obtained before this information is provided. Therefore, we require that consent is obtained by all nominees before their nominations are submitted.
Closing date for nominations Wednesday 18th March 2026. Recipients, and their nominators, will be invited to the Annual Parish Meeting to be held at the Cheddar Community Pavilion on Wednesday 22nd April 2026 to receive their award.
