The Visitor Information Centre (VIC) in Cheddar Gorge will be re-opening on February 15th , every day for half term, then weekends only until the Easter holidays. From 5th April until 2nd November we plan to open seven days a week. *
Last year was another record year for the VIC. Thanks to our loyal team of local volunteers we were able to open for more sessions and saw over 31,000 people through the centre, an increase of 20% over 2023.
The VIC is independent of all businesses and run entirely by local volunteers on a not-for-profit basis. We have a wealth of information, from walking maps and guides to leaflets and online information, including a free plan of the lower gorge showing all local businesses. If your customers ask for any information which you can’t answer please send them up to the VIC and we’ll do our best to help them.
*Our core opening times are 10.30-3.30 every day during school holidays. Outside holidays its 10.30-3.30 weekends and 10.30-1pm weekdays.
