Dear Resident,
Update on Road Safety and Anti-Social Driving in Cheddar
We are writing to provide you with an update on the ongoing work to tackle vehicular anti-social behaviour (ASB) and improve road safety in Cheddar.
A lot has happened since our last update. For that reason, we have decided not to publish the second edition of the Cheddar Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) newsletter currently, in favour of this more formal community update. Future editions of the newsletter will be published over the coming months and will continue to provide valuable updates to the community.
We know that vehicular anti-social behaviour (ASB) and road safety concerns continue to happen in the area and impact the local community.
However, thanks to your increased reporting and work ongoing within the Stakeholder Working Group to tackle this, things have improved. There has been a reduction in the number of incidents reported over the last few months compared to this time last year, alongside changes to our strategic policing response and increased targeted enforcement.
There is still a long way to go. In this update, we outline some of the short- and longer-term initiatives and actions being taken to help resolve this community problem.
